Dunedin protest against police “anti terror” raids

By Tim B

On Saturday 20 October around 60 people turned out in Dunedin to protest against the recent police “anti terror” raids and the detention of 17 activists from local Maori sovereignty and anarchist groups.

Taking part in the protest were members of the International Socialist Organisation, Workers Party, Alliance and Students for Environmental Action.

    Good luck in struggle.

A similar law in El Salvador, is used to crush the most innocent protest. It is all under the guise of anti-terror.

Good work on this demo and good luck for Saturday’s picnic. Looks like most of the groups involved in this demo are campus based. Hope you are networking with other activist/ artist types in Otepoti, such as the Black Star Books/ Autonomous Workers Union/ Freedom Roadworks folks and the people at Volco, None Gallery and Arc, and the Fringe Festival crew.

    Kia kaha
